Title:

Carrying out a LEOP is teamwork: House-wide LEOP simulation

Die Durchführung einer LEOP ist Teamwork: Hausweite LEOP Simulation

Authors:
D. Gahler
Abstract:
All GSOC departments are involved in the implementation of a LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase). They are complexly interconnected and work for an average of three to five years to create the ground segment and validate and qualify all necessary flight products and processes. Currently, 10 satellites are being managed at GSOC during the routine phase, so training in LEOP-specific processes and work packages is virtually impossible. This experience gap is being closed by a multi-week training program (a "company-wide LEOP simulation") during ongoing routine operations, primarily for newly hired employees. The training concept, the challenging planning work, and the achieved results are presented in detail.
