Type certification of military aircraft in Germany
Musterzulassung von militärischen Luftfahrzeugen in Deutschland
Abstract:
The EASA Basic Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2018/1139) explicitly excludes its application to aircraft used for military activities or services. However, Member States must ensure that the safety objectives of the Regulation are adequately considered when carrying out activities and services with these military aircraft. The aim of this presentation is to outline the type certification process for military aircraft in accordance with the regulatory provisions in Germany, in particular DEMAR 21.
